Shed your stuff sustainably
(Make a wee bit of money too)
How it works
We take everything not wet or weird
You fill up a box or bag with anything you hope to shed sustainably such as old clothes, random household stuff, books or even old batteries and light bulbs.
We recirculate your stuff
Your good-good stuff gets sorted, cleaned & rehomed in and around Bed-Stuy. The rest is recycled.
WE send a wee bit of cash back
If your stuff finds a new home you get rewarded. Every week, we give 15% of our profits back to recyclers like you.
Got more questions?
It's $5 for 1-2 bags, $10 for 3-5 bags and $20 for 5-10 bags of stuff collected. You can also drop 1-2 bags for free at our garage in Bed-Stuy.
When we sell your items we pool 15% of the proceeds and then split the money among recyclers who gave us items rehomed during a given week. For instance, recyclers in the first week of August got $7.90 back.
We will take anything as long as it's not wet or weird and fits safely on our bike trailer. So yes to things like enclosed paint or small furnitures. And no to used diapers or mattresses.
To most folks, recycling is a catch-all word for not putting stuff in an incinerator or a landfill. But to us, we will always try to rehome anything you give us. If we can't, we work with vendors who specialize in recycling specific materials to get them back in the system accordingly.
